“A dreamer – he always is, but his dreams, sometimes sensual, deal with the realities of form. Sometimes, on the other hand, he is caustic, if not revolted, by the stupidity and satisfied mediocrity of human race… One wonders what will be the final alliance of the two demons fighting within himself. It will be something very beautiful and very great. Definitely – something new,” – Andre Duboscq from Le Temps, Paris
Born in Russia in 1898, Grigory Gluckmann studied in Moscow and eventually escaped to Paris in 1924. He received an enthusiastic welcome from both collectors and critics and participated in many exhibitions in Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Dallas. It was G.Gluckmann’s brilliant technique and unique artistic vision that most effectively displayed his exceptional talent. He has achieved an international reputation among connoisseurs. He enjoys the unusual position of being perhaps one of a very few artists whose paintings are acquired by all groups of collectors — Modern French, German Expressionist, Old Master and Avant-Garde art lovers have all added superb examples of his work to their collections from coast to coast in the United States, and in Europe as well.
